Terms and conditions for using our website

1. Who runs this website

This website is run by Eko-Profit SK, s. r. o., registered office Mierová 4327/21C, 920 01 Hlohovec, Slovakia, company number (IČO) 46 654 879, tax number (DIČ) 2023 52 45 14.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website and the tools on it: the service guide, the tax calendar, the quote request, consultation booking, callback request, newsletter sign-up and the checklist for switching to us. The website and these tools are free to use and need no registration.

They do not cover the accounting, payroll or other services themselves. The scope of work, price, payment terms and other details are agreed with each client in a separate written contract. Where the contract and these terms differ, the contract applies.

Please use the website lawfully and do not use the forms to send advertising or anything that could harm the website or bother other people.

3. Requests are not orders

A quote request, a consultation booking and a callback request are all non-binding. The form simply tells us you are interested. No contract arises from it and neither side is committed to anything.

We prepare a quote based on the information you send, and if we need more, we will ask. The consultation slot you choose in the form is your suggestion. It stands once we confirm it, or we may suggest another time.

A contract for our services only comes into being through a separate written agreement between you and us.

4. Information on the website is general guidance

The texts on this website, the service guide and the tax calendar are there to help you find your way. We prepare them carefully and keep them up to date, but they are not individual tax or accounting advice and cannot replace an assessment of your own situation.

The dates in the tax calendar are general. Different deadlines may apply to a particular business, for example if the deadline for a tax return has been extended or a different VAT period applies. We always confirm deadlines individually with each client.

The law changes often. If you are about to make an important decision based on information from this website, please check it with us or another professional first.

5. Liability for content and availability

We cannot guarantee that the general information on this website is complete and current, and we are not liable for loss arising only because you relied on it without an individual consultation. This limitation applies to the extent permitted by law. It does not apply to loss caused intentionally or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

Our liability for the services we provide to clients is governed by the contract with them and by law.

We do our best to keep the website running without interruption, but it may occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance or because of a technical fault. If you have not heard back after sending a form, please contact us by email or phone.

6. Copyright

The texts, graphics, logo, photographs and layout of this website are protected by copyright. They belong to Eko-Profit SK, s. r. o., or are used under licence or with their authors' permission.

You may view, print and save the content for your own use. To share, adapt or use it commercially, you need our prior written consent. This does not affect uses the law allows without permission, such as quoting with the source acknowledged.

7. Links to other websites

In some places we link to websites run by others or show their content, such as the Google map on the Contact page. We have no control over that content and are not responsible for it. Their own operators' terms apply when you use them.

8. Personal data and cookies

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any relationship arising from the use of this website are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.

If you are unhappy with anything, please write to us first at ekoprofitsk@ekoprofitsk.sk. Most things can be sorted out by agreement.

If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a dispute, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative consumer dispute resolution. The list of these bodies is kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and includes the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), which also supervises consumer protection. This does not affect your right to go to court.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add a new tool to the website or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top. Changes to these terms do not affect contracts we already have with clients.
